Job Summary
Maintenance Tech/Electrician on 1st shift at MCC seeking to maintain electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, troubleshoot during downtime, perform predictive and preventive maintenance, complete work orders via CMMS, and coordinate projects while collaborating with press operators to diagnose equipment issues. Responsibilities include adhering to safety and quality standards (BRC), coaching operators, participating in special projects, and utilizing test equipment and PLCs (programming not required). Qualifications emphasize 3-5 years in electrical/mechanical/hydraulic/pneumatic applications, knowledge of VFDs/servo motors/controls wiring, schematic reading, CMMS experience, and strong problem-solving and communication skills. Salary range is $32.00-$35.00/hour with first shift hours and a comprehensive benefits package.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years of demonstrated experience in electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic applications
- Knowledge of AC/DC variable frequency drives (VFD’s), servo motors, and controls wiring
- Ability to read electrical and pneumatic schematics
- Ability to use test equipment (multi-meter, laptop, micrometers, calipers, infrared guns, etc.) to aid in troubleshooting equipment problems
- Can troubleshoot PLC’s and their inputs/outputs. Programming of PLC’s is not required
- General skills relating to the use of shop equipment such as drill presses, power tools, mills, and lathes
- Proficiency with computers, such as email, internet, and MS Office applications. Prior CMMS experience necessary
- Requires physical ability to climb stairs, bend, sit, stand, walk, reach with arms, push, pull and use hands and fingers to feel and handle material for extended time frames
- Must have ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds repeatedly and regularly. Includes the ability to stoop, squat, crawl and kneel as needed
- Must be well-organized and have the ability to prioritize tasks
- Must have strong problem solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with team members and supervisors
- Must have ability to multi-task and to identify and execute process improvements as needed
- Electro-Mechanical studies strongly preferred but not necessary
