Job Summary
Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical systems for production equipment, applying basic PLC fundamentals and blueprint reading skills. Operate heavy machinery including forklifts and overhead cranes while performing tasks from ladders and scaffolding with proper fall protection. Interpret work orders accurately and adhere to safety policies, OSHA, and NEC regulations across all facility areas. Maintain quality standards through precision measurement using tools like calipers and dial indicators. Work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed to support continuous manufacturing operations.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a maintenance department within a manufacturing environment
- Current and valid state-issued driver's license
- Basic millwright knowledge, including welding, rigging, and mechanical repair
- Ability to diagnose electrical devices and circuits
- Basic PLC fundamentals
- Strong blueprint and schematic reading skills
- Solid understanding of predictive, preventive, and proactive maintenance practices
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to bend, squat, reach, and squat
- Ability to climb ladders or work at heights
- Understanding of relevant state, local, and federal codes and regulations (e.g., OSHA, NEC)
- Demonstrated self-motivation
- Eagerness to learn
- Strong desire for continuous improvement and growth
