Job Summary
Repair and install production/manufacturing equipment while inspecting for proper functioning and performing preventative maintenance duties per manufacturer's specifications. Diagnose equipment malfunctions, make necessary repairs or adjustments, and conduct breakdown analysis. Perform preventative maintenance on production equipment using Maximo software, upgrade production lines with new equipment/technology, and work with outside contractors on assigned lines. Document work schedules and completed tasks, ensuring compliance with GMP, safety, and audit standards. This role supports the Vandalia facility's manufacturing and servicing of power generation and electrical control equipment for commercial and military customers.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3+ Years Industrial Mechanical/ Electrical Maintenance Experience
- Troubleshooting mechanical breakdowns (pinpointing and fixing breakdowns, diagnostics, problem solving)
- Mechanical systems (e.g., gear boxes, chains, sprockets, motors, seals, bearings)
- Drive Components, Belts, chains, Clutches & Brakes, etc.
- Pumps (e.g., troubleshooting, replacing seals/motors, understanding specs)
- Electricity & Electrical systems from - 480v 3 phase - 24v control
- At least 18 years of age by the time of joining
- Must adhere to all ISO Quality Standards
- Knowledge of safety procedures, PPE, Lockout/Tagout, etc.
- Professional technical training or certificate program in industrial maintenance, mechanics, or related field
- Pneumatics/air compression (solenoids, valves, cylinders, motor brakes, reading, troubleshooting)
- Preventative maintenance (computerized preventative charts/data)
- Schematics (e.g., electrical blueprints with switches, starters, maps, relays)
- Product manuals (e.g., reading and applying knowledge to make repairs)
- Reading mechanical drawings (e.g., mechanical, electrical, hydraulics & pneumatics)
- Electrical systems (e.g., starters, fuses, contacts, relays)
- HVAC systems
- Material fabrication and welding skills
- Basic rigging knowledge
- Knowledge of SERVO (e.g., intelligent/robotic motors, in-coders, etc.)
- Must be ready to work in a collaborative team environment including non-maintenance personnel
- Ability to communicate effectively with the team/management
- Forklift and manlift experience
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be available for weekend and/or holiday work
- Must be able to prove that you meet the status of a U.S. Person as one of the following: U.S. lawful permanent resident, U.S. Citizen, have been granted asylee or refugee status
