Job Summary
Perform routine facility maintenance, preventative maintenance, and PLC troubleshooting by observing mechanical devices, adjusting functional parts, and repairing or replacing defective components. Optimize capabilities of various packing machines, install special functional and structural parts, and aid in the startup process to ensure equipment operates correctly. Set up and operate metalworking tools like lathes and drill presses to make and repair parts while keeping maintenance shop and storage areas clean and organized. Fill out all required paperwork promptly and accurately, report any risks or unsafe conditions immediately, and ensure food safety and quality standards are maintained. Requires flexibility for various shifts including weekends and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years industrial maintenance experience
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
- Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school
- three to five years related experience and/or training
- Ability to work a flex schedule as needed
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- experience in manufacturing
- Ability to make sound decisions regarding resource utilization and needs
- Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
- Results-oriented, process improvement focused
- Ability to work cross functionally to achieve outstanding results
Desired Qualifications
- preferably within a manufacturing facility
- Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
