Job Summary

Review work orders to assess tools, parts, and manpower needed, using SAP to create tasks and respond quickly to emergency calls. Diagnose and repair complex electrical, mechanical, and fluid power equipment by reading blueprints, schematics, and manuals. Perform hands-on maintenance, including disassembling machinery, replacing faulty parts, fabricating replacements with welding and sheet metal skills, and installing new systems like piping and utilities. Monitor operational machinery to spot malfunctions early and adhere to preventive and predictive maintenance schedules. Follow all safety protocols, including LOCKOUT/TAGOUT and Good Manufacturing Practices, while maintaining daily reports.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • 1+ years of related experience and/or training in an industrial mechanical maintenance or food manufacturing environment
  • 4 years' direct experience in an industrial mechanical maintenance or food manufacturing maintenance environment
  • Vocational Diploma, Technical Diploma or associate degree from a technical maintenance or vocational school
  • Ability to function effectively in a team environment and interact productively with all levels of team personnel and outside contractors
  • Ability to operate a forklift, genie lift or scissor lift or other powered industrial trucks (PIT)
  • Ability to read and execute work order, write daily reports, and translate equipment manuals

Desired Qualifications

  • Vocational Diploma, Technical Diploma or associate degree from a technical maintenance or vocational school
