Maintenance Technician - 12 Hour Night Shift

Required Qualifications

• •Must be versatile and able to problem solve breakdowns
• •Must be proactive with adequate preventative maintenance
• •Must be able to work with all team members to meet production goals within operating budgets
• •Must work with all departments to meet or surpass the plant's safety goals
• •Must follow all GMP's (Good Manufacturing Practices)
• •Must ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
• •Must participate and provide input with the team during DDS (Daily Direction Setting) meetings
• •Must prioritize and coordinate maintenance work to ensure maximum equipment uptime
• •Must perform troubleshooting as needed to minimize downtime
• •Must perform equipment repairs
• •Must install/repair/maintain all types of electrical and mechanical equipment including PLC's, wiring, motor starters, switches, motors, gearboxes, pumps, filters, actuators, valves, etc.
• •Must read and understand all types of blueprints and CAD drawings
• •Must operate power tools, hand tools, and electrical and instrument test equipment to install, maintain, and troubleshoot plant equipment
• •Must operate welders and torches to perform repairs
• •Must operate trade specific tools including but not limited to micrometers, calipers, and verniers
• •Must operate all types of machine shop equipment including drills, lathes, milling machines, grinders, and cut-off saws
• •Must perform all vital documentation of work performed and any unusual conditions, or defective equipment with the highest accuracy possible in SAP
• •Must maintain ownership of tools and shop by maintaining good housekeeping and a clean and orderly work area
• •Must coordinate training as needed
• •Must be aware of conditions that affect employee safety
• •Must accomplish tasks by considering all areas involved, no matter how small; showing concern for all aspects of the job; accurately checking processes and tasks; being watchful over a period of time
• •Must maintain efficiency when experiencing major changes in work tasks or the work environment; adjusting optimally to work within new work structures, processes, requirements, or cultures
• •Must work optimally with team/work group or those outside the formal line of authority (e.g., peers, senior managers) to accomplish organizational goals; taking actions that respect the needs and contributions of others; contributing to and accepting the consensus; subordinating own objectives to the objectives of the organization or team
• •Must be able to walk frequently and stand for extended periods
• •Must be able to lift up to 65 lbs
• •Must be able to climb
• •Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including steel-toed shoes, hair and beard nets, bump caps, gloves, eye protection, aprons etc.
• •Must be willing to work any shift, weekends and holidays
• •Must maintain work area in an orderly and sanitary condition
• •Must perform any and all duties assigned
• •Must perform all duties in compliance with Federal, State and local codes and laws, plant rules and practices of safety, conduct, sanitation, good housekeeping and quality
• •Must successfully complete and receive a passing score on the Utility Qualification Exam
