Job Summary
Maintenance Technician responsible for apartment homes and facilities across three Bozeman-area properties. Duties include handling service requests promptly and courteously, performing unit turns and make-readies to ensure market-ready housing, conducting regular property inspections, repairing major and minor mechanical systems, coordinating with on-site teams, and maintaining curb appeal. Daily tasks involve responding to resident needs, updating work orders, and ensuring common areas remain clean and inviting. The role requires on-site presence, on-call availability for emergencies, and willingness to support other properties as needed. Strong customer service, communication, and safety practices are essential, with on-site travel between properties and the ability to work in various weather conditions. The position emphasizes integrity, teamwork, inclusion, growth, and a customer-focused service mindset.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in property maintenance, general maintenance/construction, or a related field
- Multi-family property management experience is highly preferred
- Experience using HappyCo or another similar property maintenance software is a plus
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite to communicate efficiently with management, teammates, and residents
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Must possess a high level of integrity and compassion with an emphasis on teamwork, inclusion, growth, and customer service
- Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the job and work with paints, pool chemicals, and other potentially hazardous materials in compliance with safety standards
- Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions, including exposure to heat, cold, and other environmental elements
- Available to be on a rotating on-call schedule for emergencies outside of normal working hours
- A High School Diploma/GED is required
- Must hold and maintain a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Must be able to work on-site and travel between properties
- This position is not eligible for remote work
