Job Summary
Repair and maintain houses, buildings, structures, and facilities across the Southern Operations area, including construction, remodeling, repairs, and painting. Complete daily reports in AppFolio or handwritten, and prepare monthly inventory reports for the Foreman. Perform daily safety checks on all materials and tools, and report work order changes immediately to the Manager. Maintain a neat work area and keep supplies and tools organized at the site and in service vehicles. Comply with all Safety and Food Safety rules, work with a minimum amount of supervision, and perform other duties as directed by Management.
Required Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent
- 2 year of experience in construction or related field
- experience in electrical, carpentry, and plumbing trades
- experience operating heavy equipment such as backhoes, road graders
- valid California Class C driver's license
- clean DMV record
- good communication skills
- ability to understand and follow directions and posted work rules
- ability to efficiently utilize tools
- ability to prioritize tasks
- ability to interact and work with coworkers and tenants
- ability to maintain a good attendance and punctuality record
- ability to accept constructive criticism
- ability to get in and out of a truck
- ability to sit, stand bend and stoop for long periods
- ability to hear and talk
- normal or corrected to 20/40 eyesight
- ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- hand and feet dexterity
- ability to twist from left to right and right to left from waist
- ability to turn neck both left and right
- ability to comply with all Safety and Food Safety rules and regulations
