Job Summary
Install, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical equipment including power wiring, motors, controls, and electronic devices while reading schematics and interpreting hydraulic diagrams. Perform scheduled preventative maintenance tasks, mold changeovers, and production equipment changeovers as outlined by management. Evaluate production reports to address inefficiencies and tag components needing repair or replacement. Coordinate equipment training, maintain records for the Computerized Maintenance Management Software, and operate powered industrial trucks and lifts per OSHA regulations. Ensure all non-conforming equipment is removed from service and follow Good Manufacturing Practices to prevent contamination.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Technical certifications and training applicable to servicing industrial equipment in a manufacturing environment
- At least 5 years experience with advanced skills in hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical troubleshooting in a manufacturing environment
- Certified training in electrical safety procedures
- Ability to come to work promptly and regularly

- Eye sight capable of seeing small defects at distances close to the eyes
- Ability to exert medium work (up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly)
- Ability to operate Powered Industrial Truck
- Ability to operate Boom Lift
- Ability to operate Scissor Lift
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
- Knowledge of HACCP
- Knowledge of prerequisite food safety programs
- Ability to reconcile all tools and parts
- Ability to secure hardware properly
- Ability to identify non-conforming equipment which impacts safety, food safety, or product quality
- Ability to communicate quality, food safety and food defense issues to appropriate personnel
- Ability to follow the master cleaning and sanitization schedule
- Ability to ensure work is performed in a manner which prevents foreign material contamination
- Ability to adhere to Electrical Safety Standards and Policies, including Arc Flash
- Ability to follow Lock out/Block Out/ Tag out policy
- Ability to wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) where required
- Ability to be proactive in addressing unsafe conditions and confronting unsafe behaviors in the facility

- Ability to use power tool equipment in a safe manner to avoid injury or harm to self or other employees
- Ability to perform scheduled Preventative Maintenance tasks as outlined by Maintenance Manager
- Ability to evaluate production report comments prior to performing maintenance to ensure all causes for production inefficiencies are addressed and corrected
