Job Summary
Perform scheduled and unscheduled equipment maintenance on lyophilizers, liquid fillers, labeling equipment, packaging equipment, and water system filtration. Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems, diagnose wiring hardware, and interact with vendors to solve problems and purchase parts. Maintain equipment shop tools, document procedures and reports, and travel between various Hologic facilities for maintenance. Requires a valid driver's license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and willingness to work weekends or shifts. This role supports product improvements, repairs, and new product releases within Hologic's manufacturing environment.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to work weekends or other shifts on occasions
- Must have reliable vehicle and valid driver's license to support multiple facilities
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Solid understanding in using various hand tools, multimeters, pneumatic, electrical power tools
- Solid understanding of electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic schematics
- Awareness of applicable mechanical, electrical and biological safety guidelines and standards
- Ability to diagnose mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic equipment problems
- Knowledge of windows-based computer systems
- Knowledge of microprocessor and automation controls
- Detailed oriented with strong verbal and written communication
- Ability to articulate information to coworkers and vendors
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in a GMP environment preferred
