Job Summary
Diagnose and troubleshoot all structural components related to building and grounds systems. Perform skilled duties in building trades including painting, carpentry, minor electrical and plumbing, drywall, and HVAC maintenance to repair, remodel, and maintain owned and leased facilities. Work independently on a full-time basis from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, adhering to all safety standards and established work practices. Requires a high school diploma, two years of prior maintenance experience, and a Florida driver's license.
Required Qualifications
- High School or GED
- Two or more years prior maintenance experience
- Florida driver's license
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Ability to communicate, both verbally and in writing
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills that allow the incumbent to work effectively with co-workers and vendors
- Skilled in the operation of a variety of hand tools and equipment common to the building trades and/or HVAC filtration systems
- Ability to work independently, without close supervision
- Ability to remain calm during stressful situations
- Must be able to repeatedly lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to bend, stoop, pull, stretch, sit, stand, climb, and walk
- Drive motor vehicle
- Maintain records
- Sensitivity to service population's cultural and socioeconomic characteristics
Desired Qualifications
- 1 to 2 years' experience in commercial maintenance
- Electrical, plumbing or HVAC certification
