Job Summary
Maintain community buildings and grounds by completing corrective and preventive maintenance work orders while documenting all tasks accurately. Evaluate and troubleshoot plumbing, carpentry, electrical, and HVAC systems within your training level, and assist with renovation, turnover, and routine repairs like filter changes and appliance installation. Install equipment, hang pictures, and assemble furnishings while organizing supplies and maintaining clean work areas. Perform all duties safely, adhering to protocols for securing sites from hazards. This role requires weekend rotation and on-call availability for emergency situations.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Experience using basic hand and electrical tools
- Ability to learn new skills through on-the-job training and instruction
- Ability to read technical manuals, follow instructions, and perform basic mathematical calculations involving weights and measurements
- Ability to communicate technical information effectively
- Dependability
- Safety-mindedness
- Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodation
- Willingness to participate in an on-call and/or weekend rotation
- Willingness to work additional or irregular hours during urgent or emergency situations
