Job Summary
Perform mid to expert level break-fix and preventative maintenance by observing devices, dismantling units, and replacing defective parts. Independently troubleshoot control systems to resolve software and hardware issues while utilizing predictive maintenance technologies to collect performance data. Source necessary parts and supplies, then operate machining operations including lathes and drills to repair components. Comply with 5S standards and safety policies while assisting lower-level technicians in training and development. Update CMMS records and participate in continuous improvement activities focused on cost savings.
Required Qualifications
- High School Graduate or equivalent (GED)
- Associates degree with a Technical focus and 3 years of related experience in general industry; or 5 years of related experience in general industry or successful completion of the ATS Technician Progression Program
- Understands electrical, mechanical, fluid power and control systems
- Can analyze problems and perform repairs
- Must be able to use basic hand tools and specialized tools as appropriate
- Must occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds
