Job Summary
Maintenance Technical Manager to lead the electrical/technical maintenance team in a food manufacturing environment, develop and implement preventive maintenance programs, manage vendor/contractor relationships, design and modify equipment to boost performance, and oversee departmental budgeting while ensuring compliance with ISO-14001-2015 and TQM. Responsibilities include leading technicians, minimizing downtime, maintaining inventory, and ensuring peak production efficiency, quality, and on-time delivery, with expertise in PLCs, electrical codes, ERP systems, and equipment upgrades.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- 5-10 years of experience managing maintenance and/or engineering in a food manufacturing environment
- Strong initiative, problem-solving skills, and the ability to handle emergencies
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Preferred: Boiler Certification and experience with Krones equipment
- Experience installing, programming, and troubleshooting PLCs, VFDs, and electrical/mechanical equipment (AC/DC)
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal electrical codes
- Ability to read and install complex electrical circuits from wiring diagrams
