Job Summary
Maintenance Technician responsible for preventive and unscheduled maintenance of production equipment, welding and fabrication of stainless steel and food-grade materials, and ensuring compliance with PMO, SQF, and Lifeway policies. Performs mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair; uses CMMS for work orders; conducts routine and emergency repairs; conducts parts reporting and inventory support; adheres to SOP/SSOP and food-safety standards (HACCP, FDA, EPA, OSHA, USDA, WDA). Requires strong hands-on skills in welding, fabricating, and using hand/power tools, meters, and material handling equipment; able to lift 50 lbs, stand for 8 hours, and work across multiple shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; or four to 10 years related training/experience
- Master’s degree preferred
- Ability to lift 50 lbs; ability to stand on feet for 8 hours; able to climb ladders
- Strong reading, writing, and communication skills in a business setting
- Knowledge of manufacturing software, inventory software, and Microsoft Office (Excel and Outlook)
- Experience with CMMS, mechanical/electrical/pneumatic/hydraulic troubleshooting and repair
- Ability to read, interpret, and follow SOPs and SSOPs; HACCP, FDA, EPA, OSHA, USDA, and WDA requirements
