Job Summary
Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and test production machinery and equipment to support safe and efficient operations. Perform preventive and emergency maintenance, including changing bearings and belts, while diagnosing and correcting equipment issues. Repair, modify, adjust, and calibrate incorrectly functioning machinery in accordance with predetermined standards, then test equipment after repairs. Fabricate parts using welding, cutting torches, or plasma cutters, and maintain a preventative maintenance database for labor, parts, and vendors. Work closely with production teams to resolve equipment issues quickly and minimize operational disruptions. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, including tool cribs and maintenance areas.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to change bearings and belts on industrial machinery
- Must be able to weld, use a cutting torch, or plasma cutter to fabricate parts
- Must have a strong mechanical background
- Must be able to read and comprehend customer specifications and quality requirements
- Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain personal vehicle insurance
- Must have and maintain basic hand tools necessary to perform the job, including a socket set, wrenches, and screwdrivers
- Must be able to lift at least 35 pounds, reach above shoulder length, stoop, and bend down
- Must be able to work independently in locating parts
- Must be able to read work instructions, manuals, safety procedures, and complete maintenance documentation
- Must be able to perform basic math calculations and measurements necessary for maintenance tasks
