Job Summary
Maintenance Tech at the Wayland, MI plant provides critical support to the Production team by troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining all plant equipment. Responsibilities include demonstrating pipe fitting skills and applying a skill set in machine repair, welding, machine shop equipment, electrical, hydraulics and pneumatics, compressed air, and reading blueprints/schematics. The role requires maintaining a forklift license, achieving an 80%+ on the Maintenance Assessment, and complying with GMPs, HACCP, LOTO, and food safety programs. Weekend work and second-shift scheduling are involved. The position emphasizes following instructions/process documents, effective verbal and written communication, overtime/weekend availability, and commitment to quality and food safety at TreeHouse Foods.
Required Qualifications
- Forklift operator license
- Passing score on Maintenance Assessment (80% or higher)
- Troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of plant equipment
