Job Summary
Document all work performed using computer-based service reporting procedures while oiling, lubricating, and maintaining production equipment for sewing, quilting, injection molding, and automated assembly machines. Locate machine problems by listening to and observing mechanical devices, then use precision instruments to determine faults and fix dimensional requirements. Control downtime by routing preventative and predictive maintenance in coordination with department managers, ensuring compliance with established PM schedules and SOPs. Reassemble machines, fine-tune equipment under static and dynamic conditions, and maintain operational continuity by communicating irregularities to production and engineering teams.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3-5 years maintenance experience in a high-pressure manufacturing environment or equivalent training
- Ability to interpret electrical, mechanical and pneumatic schematics and blueprints
- Understanding of mechanical, electrical and pneumatic systems
- Strong knowledge of all electrical voltages and ability to trouble shoot electrical mechanical equipment
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, procedures, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and regulations
- Ability to rotate into different maintenance areas seamlessly
- Excellent written communication
