Job Summary
Perform preventative maintenance checks on all plant equipment per established intervals and execute cutting, welding, and repairs for valves, pumps, and lines. Troubleshoot machinery issues to minimize downtime and implement cost-effective resolutions while adhering to safety rules, special work permits, and management of change procedures. Collaborate with team members to ensure proper waste disposal and identify environmental impacts to suggest corrective actions. Advise the Maintenance Supervisor and Plant Engineer on spare parts usage to maintain adequate inventory levels. Requires five years of industry experience in reactive and preventative maintenance, with the ability to work from blueprints and perform TIG, MIG, and Gas Arc welding.
Required Qualifications
- Trade School or Technical College Graduate
- HS diploma
- Five (5) years industry experience handling both reactive & preventative maintenance
- Knowledge of mechanical equipment repair (pumps, valves, drives, etc.)
- Ability to work from blueprints to weld TIG, MIG, and Gas Arc applications
- Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
