Job Summary
Maintenance Tech Level 3 performs Preventative Maintenance (PM) and timely work order completion for complex utilities systems in a multicraft environment, including PLC, instrumentation, mechanical and equipment repair. Performs routine chemical testing and adjustments for cooling tower and boiler water; monitors heating/ventilation systems and adjusts controls; provides 24/7 automated process monitoring. Works with the Maintenance Planner to manage chemicals, maintains equipment through PM/PdM/Corrective activities, and notifies leadership of unsafe equipment. May provide training to other technicians, collaborates with Maintenance Master/Manager on production goals and maintenance requests, and contributes design improvements. Requires HS Diploma/GED (associates degree preferred), 5-7 years of maintenance experience, PLC skills, GMP/SQF/LOTO/Lean knowledge, ability to read blueprints, operate basic machining tools, and strong communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- HS Diploma/GED
- 5-7 years of hands-on manufacturing maintenance experience
- Skilled and certified in various PLC programming languages
- Knowledge of GMPs, SQF, LOTO, Lean Manufacturing
- Ability to read blueprints/schematics
- Experience with PM, PdM, and corrective maintenance
Desired Qualifications
- HS Diploma/GED
- Associates degree or certification in a technical field
- Mechatronics Certifications Levels 1-7
- 5-7 years of hands-on manufacturing maintenance experience
- PLC programming knowledge
- Familiarity with GMPs/SQF/LOTO/Lean Manufacturing
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints/schematics
- Experience with preventive/predictive/corrective maintenance
- Ability to operate basic machining equipment
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work with engineering on projects
- Ability to support and collaborate with leadership
