Job Summary
Inspect, repair, and maintain hotel systems including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and exterior projects while identifying and correcting safety hazards. Perform preventative maintenance, check consumable stocking levels, and prepare shift reports for management. Respond to emergency situations on short notice and work with the Chief Engineer to accomplish technical projects, including weather-related exterior maintenance. Maintain the best possible condition of buildings and common areas while adhering to all health and safety guidelines. Variable scheduling based on guest occupancy and season.
Required Qualifications
- Highly motivated team player with strong initiative and desire for achievement
- Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary
- Ability to work well in stressful situations
- Ability to complete work orders on a timely basis
- Readily available and approachable for all guests while providing excellent guest service
- Ability and willingness to respond to emergency situations on short notice
- Responsible for knowing Hotel emergency procedures
- Regularly required to stand, sit or walk for an extended period of time
- Regularly required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
- Frequently required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Variable scheduling availability based on guest occupancy, season, staffing and other factors
- Willingness to report to Hotel in bad weather conditions for maintenance of Hotel's exterior (snow shoveling, ice melting, etc.)
