Job Summary
Construct and assemble new sand plants, performing comprehensive mechanical, welding, hydraulic, electrical, and plumbing maintenance on associated equipment. Troubleshoot equipment failures, identify root causes, and complete repairs on conveyors, bearings, gearboxes, motors, pumps, and structural components with minimal supervision. Execute preventative and corrective maintenance, including bearing changes, gearbox repairs, motor swaps, conveyor belt splicing, slurry pump rebuilds, poly pipe fusing, and welding/fabrication. Respond to breakdowns, inspect equipment per schedule, document repairs, and communicate needs to the Plant Manager. Work independently in demanding industrial environments, adhering to strict safety protocols, lockout/tagout procedures, and federal mining regulations.

- Experience performing poly pipe fusing and repairs
- Experience performing welding, cutting, structural fabrication, and equipment modifications
- Experience performing mechanical alignment of shafts, sheaves, pulleys, motors, gearboxes, and related components
- Ability to safely rig, lift, move, and install heavy equipment and components
- Experience with gearboxes

- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and equipment requirements

- Valid driver's license
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
- Ability to work independently
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Vocational or technical training in diesel mechanics, industrial maintenance, welding, or a related field
- Ability to lift, carry, and handle heavy objects and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, stoop, bend, kneel, climb, and work in various positions for extended periods
- Ability to safely work at heights and in confined spaces
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
- Ability to work in hot, cold, dusty, wet, noisy, and industrial environments
- Ability to work around moving machinery, conveyors, heavy equipment, electrical systems, and other industrial hazards
- Ability to wear required PPE for extended periods
- Must be able to safely perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation
Desired Qualifications
- Frac experience is a plus
- Vocational or technical training in diesel mechanics, industrial maintenance, welding, or a related field is preferred
- Experience operating skid steers, telehandlers, track hoes, and/or backhoes is preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively with the Plant Manager and maintenance team
