Job Summary
Oversee maintenance, repair, and preventative upkeep of corporate headquarters and facilities near DFW Airport by responding to work order requests, inspecting building systems, and coordinating specialized vendor services. Execute general repairs including carpentry, drywall, plumbing, and electrical work while maintaining accurate documentation and ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Monitor HVAC, rooftop units, and other infrastructure to identify improvement opportunities and manage inventory of spare parts and tools. Work standard business hours Monday through Friday with occasional overtime or after-hours support required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years of facility maintenance, building maintenance, commercial property maintenance, or industrial maintenance experience
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical duties including standing, walking, bending, climbing, reaching, and working in indoor and outdoor environments
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills involving commercial building systems and equipment
- Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and general building maintenance principles
- Ability to perform preventative maintenance and facility repairs with minimal supervision
- Knowledge of applicable building codes, safety regulations, and maintenance best practices
- Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams, construction drawings, equipment manuals, and technical specifications
- Strong organizational, communication, and recordkeeping skills
- Must be capable of safely operating hand tools, power tools, ladders, lifts, and maintenance equipment
Desired Qualifications
- Technical school certification, skilled trades training, or maintenance-related certifications
- Experience maintaining commercial office and industrial/warehouse facilities
- Proficiency with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) or work-order tracking systems
- Experience coordinating outside vendors, contractors, and inspection agencies
- Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements and building code compliance
- EPA, HVAC, electrical, welding, or other maintenance-related certifications
