Job Summary
Install and maintain industrial and facility equipment, including troubleshooting 24/120/220/480 VAC electrical systems and low voltage control systems. Perform scheduled preventative maintenance, complete repairs and rebuilds on gearboxes and centrifugal pumps, and assist operations personnel in diagnosing equipment problems. Read and interpret P&ID and mechanical drawings to support startup of equipment after maintenance. Participate in core-cause analysis for equipment failures and maintain tools in good working condition while adhering to SHE principles. Work inside and outside during inclement weather with flexible hours and on-call rotation required.
Required Qualifications
- at least 5 years industrial maintenance experience
- preferably in a continuous process industry
- two years post-secondary education in a technical school with 2 years industrial maintenance experience
- college education with a concentration in industrial technology
- an equivalent combination of work experience and education
- U.S. citizen or a non-U.S. citizen having legal status to reside and work in the U.S. for reasons other than practical training
- Initiative, adaptability, and communication skills
- physically capable of performing job-related tasks and job duties
- ability to connect and build rapport and relationships with employees at all levels
- ability to work efficiently with time management and organizational skills
- ability to drive process improvement and lead change
- Regular, predictable, and full attendance
- Must be able to work safely in a production environment
- Must be able to lift objects up to 50 lbs
- Ability to climb stairs and/or ladders
- Ability to stand and walk 8-10 hours per day
- Must be able to wear PPE, including, but not limited to, hard hat, safety glasses and steel toe footwear that meets ASTM F-2413-2005 standards
- Must be available 'on Call', as needed
- Must be able to work inside and outside during inclement weather
- ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times
Desired Qualifications
- experience with PLCs
- AC & DC drives
- design, fabricate and weld
- Ability to read and interpret P&ID drawings, mechanical drawings
- basic understanding of process concepts, control systems, and instrumentation equipment
- Ability to maintain and troubleshoot 24/120/220/480 VAC electrical systems & low voltage control systems
- Advanced knowledge in the operation of centrifugal pumps, compressed air system, gearboxes, piping and valves, and rigging
- Complete repairs and rebuilds on gearboxes and centrifugal pumps
