Job Summary
Maintenance Technician 3 for a 2nd shift (4:00pm-12:30am, Monday-Friday) in an Orlando, FL warehouse. Performs preventative and on-demand maintenance on electrical motors, material handling equipment, propane torches, lifts, welding and power tools, as well as light plumbing and carpentry. Uses blueprints/schematics to troubleshoot complex automated control systems operating up to 480VAC and supports conveyor systems and energy-management functions to keep the Fulfillment Center running smoothly. Emphasizes safety and teamwork; requires ability to read schematics, troubleshoot electrical/electronic challenges, operate MHE after certification, and work in a climate-controlled warehouse with physical demands including lifting up to 100 pounds and working at heights. High school diploma or GED required; minimum 2 years related experience; ability to pass a drug screen; OT may be required; preferred trade school background; Staples Supply Chain offers competitive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED
- Minimum two (2) years of related experience
- Ability to pass a drug screen to the extent permissible legally
- Basic English language skills (verbal and written)
- Ability to work additional hours beyond scheduled shift as needed
- Ability to lift, push or pull boxes/merchandise weighing 70-100 pounds
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Trade school background (preferred)
