Job Summary
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on all facility and building systems, completing specialized repairs in areas of technical expertise. Execute general tasks for the upkeep of grounds, facility, and site. Become proficient in the Hospital Equipment management system (HEMS) work order system and prioritize multiple tasks with frequent interruptions. Maintain familiarity with state and national regulatory codes for buildings and health care facilities. Requires five years of experience in a mechanical, electrical, carpentry, or plumbing trade. Full-time day shift (7:30 AM - 4:00 PM) at Porter - Helen Porter Nursing Home in Middlebury, Vermont.
Required Qualifications
- High School (GED) education
- Five year's experience
- HVAC Technician
- Refrigeration Technician
- experience in excess of seven years in a mechanical, electrical, carpentry or plumbing trade
- Knowledge of state and national regulatory codes for buildings, health care facilities
- The ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work with frequent interruptions
- Customer service orientation
