Job Summary
Install, maintain, and repair landscape features throughout the district's preserves, including planting, vegetation management, trailside landscaping, and natural area upkeep. Perform bench construction, finishing, and maintenance as needed. Monitor various types of drainage structures and operate machinery and equipment for trail construction and renovations. Travel throughout the district to work in diverse settings. Monday through Friday, 6:45 am to 2:45 pm. Requires Illinois Class A Commercial Driver's License and one to three years of related experience.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years of age or older at the time of hire
- 1-3 years of related experience in maintenance duties and operation of machinery and equipment
- Valid Driver's License in good standing
- Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required within (6) months in good standing
- IL Department of Agriculture Pesticide Operator's License within (6) months of employment
- Must be able to travel throughout the district
