Required Qualifications

• •High School Diploma
• •Technical certifications and training applicable to servicing industrial equipment in a manufacturing environment
• •At least 5 years experience with advanced skills in hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical troubleshooting in a manufacturing environment
• •Certified training in electrical safety procedures
• •Ability to hear with no less than 40 dB at 500 Hz, 100 Hz, and 2000 Hz with or without correction
• •Ability to perceive attributes of objects, such as size, shape, temperature or texture by touching with skin
• •Ability to prepare and analyze data and figures
• •Eye sight capable of seeing small defects at distances close to the eyes
• •Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly
• •Ability to climb, ascend or descend ladders, stairs and equipment
• •Ability to stoop, bend body downward and forward by bending spine at waist

• •Ability to read and interpret schematics, parts manuals, blueprints, sketches, hydraulic diagrams, and machine manuals
• •Ability to troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, mechanical and process problems with equipment
• •Ability to use power tool equipment in a safe manner
• •Ability to perform scheduled Preventative Maintenance tasks
• •Ability to evaluate production report comments prior to performing maintenance
• •Ability to continually evaluate equipment for improvement areas
• •Ability to tag components or parts that need repair, replacement or improvement
• •Ability to perform scheduled production equipment mold changeovers
• •Ability to perform building maintenance
• •Ability to maintain sufficient records to support the Computerized Maintenance Management Software (EAM) including work orders and parts management
• •Ability to coordinate with Production Manager and/or Maintenance Manager as it relates to production equipment training and employee development
• •Ability to provide suggestions for training topics
• •Ability to request regular meetings with managers
• •Ability to request additional training
• •Ability to request involvement beyond immediate job responsibilities
• •Ability to seek higher education opportunities including continuing education classes

• •Ability to install, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical equipment including power and control wiring, motors, controls, electronic devices, and building electrical maintenance
• •Ability to troubleshoot PLC and other electronic systems
• •Ability to troubleshoot and program machine logic systems
• •Ability to communicate ideas and other problems to the management staff
• •Ability to promote good housekeeping habits related to maintenance
• •Ability to coordinate equipment training as needed
• •Ability to ensure the safe and efficient operation of all plant equipment to meet or exceed company established safety culture
• •Ability to ensure the safe and efficient operation of all equipment to meet or exceed company established Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) expectations and customer quality expectations
• •Ability to ensure all non-conforming equipment which impacts safety, food safety, or product quality is identified and removed from service until repaired or replaced
• •Ability to follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), personnel practices, HACCP, and prerequisite food safety programs
• •Ability to ensure work is performed in a manner which prevents foreign material contamination, including reconciliation of all tools and parts and proper securement of hardware
• •Ability to communicate quality, food safety and food defense issues to appropriate personnel
• •Ability to maintain a clean, organized work area through effective housekeeping, sanitization, and waste management practices by following the master cleaning and sanitization schedule
• •Ability to proactively resolve housekeeping and sanitization opportunities
• •Ability to be subject to both inside and outside environmental conditions
• •Ability to be subject to extreme heat. Temperatures above 100 for periods of more than one hour
