Job Summary

Install, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical equipment including power wiring, motors, controls, and electronic devices while reading schematics and blueprints. Perform scheduled preventative maintenance tasks and production equipment mold changeovers as outlined by management. Evaluate production reports to address inefficiencies, tag components needing repair, and maintain records for the Computerized Maintenance Management Software. Troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, mechanical, and process problems, including PLC systems and machine logic programming. Operate powered industrial trucks, boom lifts, and scissor lifts per OSHA regulations. Ensure all non-conforming equipment impacting safety or food quality is removed from service and maintain a clean, organized work area through effective housekeeping and sanitization.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma
  • Technical certifications and training applicable to servicing industrial equipment in a manufacturing environment
  • At least 5 years experience with advanced skills in hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical troubleshooting in a manufacturing environment
  • Certified training in electrical safety procedures
  • Ability to hear with no less than 40 dB at 500 Hz, 100 Hz, and 2000 Hz with or without correction
  • Ability to perceive attributes of objects, such as size, shape, temperature or texture by touching with skin
  • Ability to prepare and analyze data and figures
  • Eye sight capable of seeing small defects at distances close to the eyes
  • Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly
  • Ability to climb, ascend or descend ladders, stairs and equipment
  • Ability to stoop, bend body downward and forward by bending spine at waist
  • Ability to crouch, bend body downward and forward by bending legs and spine

  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, parts manuals, blueprints, sketches, hydraulic diagrams, and machine manuals
  • Ability to troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, mechanical and process problems with equipment
  • Ability to use power tool equipment in a safe manner
  • Ability to perform scheduled Preventative Maintenance tasks
