Maintenance Tech II

Job Summary
Complete maintenance requests, document time and supplies used, and log inventory charges for each work order. Perform daily tasks including painting, plaster, drywall, appliance installation, light plumbing, and routine inspections of smoke detectors. Assist with carpentry, roof repair, window and door installation, and seasonal work such as snow removal and yard care. Maintain property cleanliness through custodial duties and ensure storage areas are secure and well-lit. Conform to all safety requirements, including chemical safety and MSDS data sheets, while operating motor vehicles. Work independently to repair building structures and perform scheduled maintenance based on manufacturer recommendations. Participate in annual unit inspections with managers. On-call rotation begins after 30 days of orientation.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license, insurable for company vehicle & reliable transportation to and from work
- 3 or more years of experience in all phases of building maintenance including but not limited to appliance repair, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and preventative maintenance
- Ability to push, pull, and lift 50 pounds frequently, 100-150 pounds or more occasionally
- Ability to demonstrate a full range of motion
- Ability to climb a ladder and work above ground
- Ability to walk long distances and climb stairs repeatedly
- Must provide own hand tools
- Available for On-Call Rotation after 30 days orientation
