Job Summary
Complete maintenance requests and perform preventative maintenance across diverse apartment communities, including painting, drywall, carpentry, light plumbing, and electrical repairs. Document all work orders, time spent, and supplies used while logging inventory charges and preparing records for annual inspections. Maintain property cleanliness through custodial duties and ensure safety by adhering to chemical requirements and operating motor vehicles. Perform seasonal tasks like snow removal and exterior repairs, requiring on-call rotation availability after orientation. Must provide own hand tools and hold a valid driver's license.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license, insurable for company vehicle & reliable transportation to and from work
- 3 or more years of experience in all phases of building maintenance including but not limited to appliance repair, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and preventative maintenance
- Must provide own hand tools
- Available for On-Call Rotation after 30 days orientation
- Ability to push, pull, and lift 50 pounds frequently, 100-150 pounds or more occasionally
- Ability to demonstrate a full range of motion
- Ability to climb a ladder and work above ground
- Ability to walk long distances and climb stairs repeatedly
- Exemplary time management skills
- Ability to work independently with Honesty & Integrity
- Willingness to learn and assist above and beyond as part of 'the team'
- Must learn where water/gas meters and sewer lines are located at all properties
- Must be aware and conform to all safety requirements while working on the properties and operating motor vehicles
- Maintain chemical safety requirements and MSDS data sheets
