Job Summary
Maintenance Technician II leads maintenance activities on the overnight B-Shift in the plant when the Shift Manager is absent, oversees the department's daily operations, develops and manages preventive maintenance programs for plant equipment, coordinates outages and updates, creates and edits work orders in the inventory system, and provides performance coaching to maintenance technicians. Responsibilities include ensuring adherence to SOPs, safety, quality, and production standards; conducting audits; maintaining records and manuals; and maintaining after-hours response for plant outages. Requires strong supervisory skills, ability to diagnose issues, plan maintenance schedules, and promote food safety and GMP compliance, with proficiency in industrial software and English communication.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of one year experience working in a fast- paced manufacturing environment
- Ability to perform all maintenance operator duties
- Extensive knowledge of building systems and plant operations
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate
- Ability to identify issues and to determine repairs that are needed
- Ability to plan maintenance schedules for building systems
- Punctual and regular attendance is required
- Proficient in industrial software programs
- Comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures. Report all unsafe activity to supervisor and/or Human Resources
- English skills must be proficient to understand, read, write, and speak
