Job Summary
Maintenance Tech II at DICK’S Sporting Goods responsible for troubleshooting and repairing electrical/mechanical/hydraulic/pneumatic/PLC systems, and lift-truck related components; perform preventative maintenance, read electrical/mechanical drawings, coordinate spare parts, mentor junior technicians, and ensure safety per DKS/OSHA standards. Requires an associate degree or technical certificate and 3-5 years of experience; skills include welding, hydraulics, pneumatics, gear boxes, PLC controls, DC software familiarity (e.g., Crown PM), ability to read schematics, and physical ability to lift up to 75 lbs. Location: Union City, GA, USA. Virtual interview requirements include camera-on policy and prohibition of AI tools during interviews; background checks may be required.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree - 2 year vocational technical certificate or degree preferably in a mechanical or electrical application
- 3-5 years of experience
- Welding, burning, cutting
- Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, gear boxes & PLC controls
- Familiar with DC-specific specialized software packages (ex. Crown PM, Gage) & equipment
- Able to read & understand electrical mechanical building type drawings/schematics
- Good safety awareness
- Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull & lift up to 75 lbs.
- Experience with LOTO
