Job Summary
Perform maintenance and repair, housekeeping, plumbing, metal fabrication, and carpentry to support fulfillment center operations. Conduct daily inspections of conveyor systems, shipping, and packing equipment while ensuring all machinery operates properly and the environment remains safe. Execute periodic and general maintenance tasks as assigned, complete repair orders, and maintain parts usage records. Visually check, test, and evaluate components, circuits, and electrical systems to solve mechanical and electrical problems. Read and interpret electrical, pneumatic, and plumbing schematics, and address issues with fire systems and motor controllers. Communicate preventative maintenance opportunities and resource needs outside normal hours. Work nights, weekends, and overtime as required.
Required Qualifications
- At least 36 months of previous facility maintenance experience (Mechanics and Maintainers, Construction and Engineering, Aviation and Transportation Repair)
- Must have electrical experience or understanding
- Demonstrate electrical knowledge of 24v ac/dc control circuits, 120v power & control circuits, and 277v-480v power circuits
- Experience using appropriate tools and maintenance equipment
- Ability to lift 75 pounds and to stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist and turn frequently
- Requires manual dexterity, overall coordination, and good balance to work at ground level, with the ability to climb and work at elevations up to 35 feet above floor level
- Interest in math, electricity, shop mechanics, electric motors, and appliances
- Good at solving problems
- Experience with fire system and fire alarm electronic devices
- Ability to read, understand & interpret electrical, pneumatic, & plumbing schematics
- Experience with conveyor mechanical systems (belts, drives, tracking valves)
- Experience with VFD motor controllers
- Experience with motor starters and control cabinet PLC knowledge - input/outputs solving or some programming
- HVAC - advanced knowledge or experience
- Ability and willingness to train others
- Ability to work nights, weekends and overtime
