Job Summary
Perform maintenance and repairs on affordable housing facilities equipment and grounds, including appliances, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, landscaping, and janitorial tasks. Identify and address safety hazards to clients, employees, and the public while conducting daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and bi-annual preventive maintenance. Assist in monitoring apartment make-ready schedules and service requests to ensure 24-hour completion. Carry out after-hours, weekend, and holiday emergency coverage as scheduled, acting as a mentor to Maintenance Technician I and inventorying building supplies. Maintain facilities in a safe, clean, and orderly manner that complies with agency standards.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or its equivalent
- One year of previous maintenance technician experience
- Knowledge of all hand and power tools and their uses
- Valid Colorado Driver's License, insurance verification and good driving record
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and maintain good relations with residents and employees
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Must be capable of using an extension ladder to make repairs as needed
- Must be able to perform emergency maintenance
- Predictable, consistent, attendance
- Must be able to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation and without posing a direct threat to safety or health of self or others
Desired Qualifications
- At 3 years of direct experience in building maintenance or trade school certificate
- CFC certifications desired
- CAMT certification desired
