Job Summary
Perform mid to expert level break-fix and preventative maintenance by observing devices, dismantling equipment, adjusting functional parts, and testing electrical circuitry and mechanical systems. Independently execute repairs and replacements while identifying and sourcing necessary parts and supplies. Setup and operate multiple machining operations including lathes, drill presses, and grinders, and perform welding tasks as required. Troubleshoot control systems to resolve software, hardware, and configuration problems, utilizing predictive maintenance technologies to collect performance data. Comply with 5S standards and safety policies while driving continuous improvement activities focused on processes, results, and cost savings. Update CMMS records and provide assistance to lower-level technicians and leadership.
Required Qualifications
- High School Graduate or equivalent (GED)
- Associates degree with a Technical focus and 3 years of related experience in general industry; or 5 years of related experience in general industry or successful completion of the ATS Technician Progression Program
- Understands electrical, mechanical, fluid power and control systems
- Can analyze problems and perform repairs
- Must be able to use basic hand tools and specialized tools as appropriate
- Must be able to lift and/or move more than 50 pounds
