Job Summary
Maintenance Tech II responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing facility and conveyance-system equipment within a distribution center. Duties include adhering to OSHA safety requirements (LOTO), performing preventive maintenance, and documenting work in the asset-management system. Requires proficiency with PLCs, conveyors, 3-phase electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, plumbing, and related equipment. Will report spare parts inventory usage, assist in training junior technicians, coordinate with external vendors to complete projects safely and timely, and take on additional tasks to support DC operations.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree - 2 year vocational technical certificate or degree preferably in a mechanical or electrical application
- 3-5 years of experience
- Welding, burning, cutting
- Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, gear boxes & PLC controls
- Familiar with DC-specific specialized software packages (ex. Crown PM, Gage) & equipment
- Able to read & understand electrical mechanical building type drawings/schematics
- Good safety awareness
- Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull & lift up to 75 lbs.
- Experience with LOTO
