Job Summary
Maintenance Tech I responsible for supporting daily care, maintenance, and safe operation of a hospitality linen facility. Performs basic maintenance tasks on specialized equipment (light plumbing, painting, simple electrical work, general repairs), completes work orders, supports preventative maintenance, inspects for safety hazards, assists senior technicians, and maintains cleanliness of engineering spaces. Requires strong customer service and communication skills, ability to learn HVAC/plumbing/electrical/mechanical systems, and ability to work both independently and within a team. Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts, with opportunities for growth and benefits including 401k match and employee discounts.
Required Qualifications
- Basic understanding of general maintenance and repair
- Willingness and ability to learn HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Follow safety procedures, policies, and instructions
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work with tools and machinery
- Exposure to varying temperatures and industrial work environments across the facility
- Must adhere to PPE, safety, and sanitation standards
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior maintenance, facilities, or hospitality experience preferred but not required
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
- Must be able to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts
