Job Summary

Perform planned preventive maintenance inspections and repairs on manufacturing equipment, including plumbing, waste water systems, refrigeration, and steam. Execute emergency repairs and adjustments while production lines are running, and modify or fabricate equipment to improve processes. Troubleshoot programmable logic controllers and electrical circuits to maintain maximum facility reliability. Adhere to all Good Manufacturing Practices, standard operating procedures, and food safety policies, including allergen control and HACCP monitoring. Complete required paperwork accurately and report suspicious activities. Maintain the outside facility perimeter by clearing snow and ice during winter months. Schedule is first shift (8am-6pm or 4am-2pm). One year of technical school certification or equivalent experience required.

Required Qualifications

  • One year certificate from college or technical school
  • Three to six months related experience and/or training
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Working knowledge of AC and DC circuits
  • Working knowledge of motor control
  • Working knowledge of control circuitry
  • Mechanical certificates
  • First shift availability
  • 8am-6pm or 4am-2pm shift availability
  • Ability to perform planned PM's, maintenance inspections/repairs
  • Ability to perform light plumbing and waste water work
  • Ability to perform emergency repairs and adjustments while line is running
  • Ability to modify/fabricate equipment to maintain and improve the production process
  • Ability to maintain building facilities including waste water treatment, refrigeration systems, steam systems and building environment systems
  • Ability to install new equipment to improve current production processes
  • Ability to maintain the facility and equipment to ensure maximum reliability
  • Ability to maintain outside perimeter of facility during winter months to ensure walkways and paths are clear of snow and ice
  • Ability to troubleshoot and maintain programmable Logic Controllers for all manufacturing equipment
  • Ability to adhere to all corporate GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices)
  • Ability to adhere to all SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures)
  • Ability to adhere to all Food Safety policies
  • Ability to adhere to all Allergen control programs and procedures
  • Ability to report suspicious packages, activities and individuals
  • HACCP training if monitoring CCPs
