Job Summary
Maintenance Technician responsible for performing routine maintenance across plumbing, electrical, carpentry, mechanical, and painting tasks; maintain equipment in laundry, kitchen, boiler rooms, and individual air conditioners; perform unscheduled maintenance as requested; may temporarily assume Security Guard duties; on-call maintenance schedule (24 hours); shift includes evenings and every other weekend; must meet HS or equivalent and have 3+ years in building maintenance with plumbing/electrical experience; physical ability to lift/move up to 25 pounds and 50 feet; ability to evacuate residents in emergencies; comprehensive benefits package offered.
Required Qualifications
- High School or vocational school graduate or equivalent
- Three years experience in building maintenance which must include plumbing and electrical experience
- Courses in heating, ventilation, air conditioning, electrical, carpentry, drywall or building trades preferred
- Demonstrated independent contracting experience in general repairs considered
- Must be able to speak and write the English language in an understandable manner
