Job Summary
Monitor, coordinate, and complete maintenance duties to ensure the community remains clean, orderly, safe, and attractive. Lead emergency repairs for equipment breakdowns while performing hands-on fixes, painting, drywall repairs, and minor building work. Conduct daily walk-arounds to address repairs and touch-ups, assist residents with moving furniture or relocating when directed, and serve dining room staff at breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Respond promptly to resident requests for assistance, participate in leisure activities, and observe safety hazards immediately. Comply with HIPAA regulations, emergency protocols, and attendance policies while wearing appropriate dress.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- one to two years related experience and/or training
- equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
- Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's
- Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
