Job Summary
Maintenance Technician responsible for performing a broad range of maintenance and repair tasks across DESC facilities, including basic electrical, carpentry, and plumbing work. Duties cover shelter dorms, apartments, common areas, offices, and exterior areas; respond to emergencies; coordinate with the Facilities Manager on staff scheduling and supply orders; maintain maintenance logs; and ensure safety and access controls for occupied tenant units. Requires three years of maintenance/trades experience and a valid Washington driver’s license. Union-represented role with SEIU Healthcare 1199NW; day shift, Monday–Friday with Saturdays and Sundays off.
