Job Summary
Inspect and identify equipment or machines in need of repair, then troubleshoot issues to determine necessary fixes. Plan repair work using building blueprints or equipment manuals, performing general repairs such as drywall, painting, and fixture maintenance without specialized technician support. Conduct routine maintenance on building systems, clean and assist with facility upkeep, and order supplies and materials needed for repairs. Follow instructions from supervisors or senior maintenance workers while utilizing hand and power tools. Requires high school diploma, related experience preferred, and on-the-job training offered.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to follow instructions from supervisors or senior maintenance workers
- Knowledge of general carpentry and repair
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward spaces
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time
