Job Summary
Maintenance Tech in Charleston, SC, performing routine maintenance on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems; diagnose equipment malfunctions using manuals, schematics, and diagnostic tools; repair or replace motors, belts, bearings, valves, and sensors; conduct preventive maintenance inspections to minimize downtime; install and set up new machinery and production equipment; troubleshoot electrical systems including PLCs, motors, and control circuits; maintain accurate maintenance logs and documentation; follow safety procedures and comply with OSHA and company safety standards; assist with continuous improvement and equipment upgrades; work with production teams to quickly resolve breakdowns.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED (technical certification preferred)
- Experience in industrial maintenance (manufacturing environment preferred)
- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
- Basic understanding of PLC troubleshooting (advanced knowledge preferred)
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic instruments
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
