Job Summary
The Maintenance Tech A role involves supporting production by performing preventive maintenance and facility-related repairs on building systems and equipment. Responsibilities include setting up and operating maintenance equipment safely, completing work orders, installing and maintaining electrical systems (120V and 3-phase 480V), conduit and cable pathways, low voltage/data cabling, pneumatic piping, rigging and movement of machinery, welding and basic fabrication, and assisting with plumbing, carpentry, and general repairs. The role requires following PM schedules, prioritizing tasks under supervision, maintaining a clean work area, communicating with team members and supervisors, and complying with safety procedures. The position requires high school diploma or equivalent, experience with relevant electrical and mechanical systems, ability to read blueprints/schematics, use of power tools, lifting 50–80 pounds, and completion of a 90-day orientation. It is a full-time, on-site role with potential for overtime and is based in Sidney, Ohio (USA).
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Experience with Electrical systems (120V and 480V 3-phase)
- Running conduit and pulling wire
- Pipe installation and threading (black iron pipe)
- Welding and basic fabrication
- Equipment rigging and movement
- Low voltage/data line installation
- 2+ years of maintenance experience in manufacturing or industrial environment (preferred)
- Read blueprints, schematics, and basic electrical drawings
- Safe operation of maintenance tools and equipment
- Pneumatic systems understanding (preferred)
- Ability to lift 50–80 pounds frequently
- Must pass drug screen and physical exam
- 90-day orientation period
