Job Summary
Complete mechanical repairs, perform preventative maintenance on all machinery, and troubleshoot advanced problems throughout the facility. Execute welding and fabrication tasks with little direction while entering data into the maintenance system. Maintain a clean and safe work area and perform advanced electrical work to ensure safe operations. Drive company vehicles with a clean driving record and maintain a valid U.S. license. This role supports Westerman, Inc.'s production and storage equipment manufacturing for the oil, gas, and nuclear industries, focusing on high-performance surface separation and processing technology.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 0-1 years work experience in a related craft
- Basic math skills
- Demonstrated proficiency in both oral and written communication
- Must have and maintain a valid U.S. driver's license with an acceptable MVR as determined by the insurance carrier and the Company's Vehicle Use Policy
- Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time, up to entire length of shift
- Must be able to exert moderate to heavy physical effort with lifting requirement up to 50 pounds
- Must have strong range of motion
- Must be able to sit, stand, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, and bend
- Must be able to see, speak, read, and hear
- Must be able to read instructions and all measuring devices
- Must use fingers and hands to manipulate tools and small parts
- Must be able to walk over both even and uneven surfaces
- Must be able to work in extreme temperatures, both hot and cold
- Must be physically able to access all areas of the plant and grounds
- Must be able to wear appropriate PPE including seatbelt
- Must be able to work in tight quarters
- Must be able to close vision, depth perception, the ability to see small detail, and the ability to adjust focus
- Driving is an essential function of this position; clean driving record is required
Desired Qualifications
- 3 years of manufacturing experience
- Advanced knowledge of electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, and plumbing
- Advanced mechanical, welding and cutting skills
- Ability to read mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic prints
- Good problem-solving skills, safety practices, and attention to quality
- Have workbench and computer skills
- Meter usage and ability to complete measurements
- May require CPR and first aid training
- Lockout/tagout, fall protection, PPE, confined spaced training
