Job Summary
Conduct corrective and preventative maintenance on manufacturing, packaging, and facility equipment, including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. Troubleshoot malfunctioning machinery, identify faulty equipment through observation, and perform root cause failure analysis to minimize downtime. Execute daily shift duties from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM by completing job assignments, maintaining proper tools, and ensuring compliance with cGMP and GDP plans. Lubricate machines, inventory parts via SAP, and drive forklifts as needed while coaching operators on equipment setup and troubleshooting.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent, preferably including hands-on or vocational school training
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a general maintenance mechanic in a manufacturing environment
- Equivalent combination of training and experience
- A.S./A.A. Degree in Mechanical/Utilities Technology
- Licensed Journeyman
- Minimum of two (2) years of work experience (for Licensed Journeyman)
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with packaging equipment
- Advanced understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanics
- Welding and Fabrication skills
- Capable of operating hand, power, and specialized tools
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Strong computer skills (MS Word, Excel, and Email)
- Basic understanding of electrical systems
- Knowledge of SAP PM
