Maintenance Tech 1st Shift

Job Summary
Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical systems for production equipment and facility operations using precision tools and blueprint reading skills. Operate heavy equipment including forklifts and cranes while adhering to strict safety policies and quality standards. Diagnose electrical circuits with basic PLC knowledge and perform preventive maintenance tasks on manufacturing machinery. Read and interpret work orders accurately, working at heights and in tight spaces as required. Maintain OSHA and NEC regulatory compliance while demonstrating self-motivation to support continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a maintenance department within a manufacturing environment
- Current and valid state-issued driver's license
- Basic millwright knowledge - including welding, rigging, and mechanical repair
- Ability to diagnose electrical devices and circuits
- Basic PLC fundamentals
- Strong blueprint and schematic reading skills
- Solid understanding of predictive, preventive, and proactive maintenance practices
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to bend, squat, reach, and squat
- Ability to climb ladders or work at heights
- Understanding of relevant state, local, and federal codes and regulations (e.g., OSHA, NEC)
