Job Summary
Repair and perform routine maintenance, including lubrication and cleaning, on machinery such as engines, motors, and production equipment. Assist in troubleshooting mechanical issues to minimize downtime and support the installation of new equipment. Conduct regular inspections to identify potential failures or safety hazards and document all activities for the supervisor. Collaborate with production teams to schedule maintenance without disrupting operations while following all safety protocols. Participate in training programs to enhance technical skills in paper mill operations. Work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays in a physically demanding environment with exposure to noise and dust.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in industrial maintenance
- Solid understanding of mechanical systems, electrical components, and industrial equipment
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, manufacturer specifications, schematics, diagrams, and sketches
- Extensive knowledge of hand tools, power tools, hoists, cranes, precision-measuring, and testing instruments
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Willingness to work in a physically demanding environment, including lifting, climbing, and working in confined spaces
- Ability to observe, identify, and detect mechanical issues through sound and vibration analysis while machinery is in operation
- Excellent teamwork and communication abilities
- Rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
