Job Summary
Troubleshoot, replace, disassemble, repair, and overhaul all equipment across Greers, cranes, fillers, wrappers, cartoners, mix rooms, and CIP systems. Perform scheduled preventive and predictive maintenance, unplanned repairs, and overhauls for in-feed conveyors, racks, ram assemblies, cable replacements, and motor controls circuits up to PLCs. Diagnose mechanical and electrical malfunctions, assist with operational adjustments, change overs, and frequency drive replacements. Coordinate with other departments to improve procedures, assist with maintenance plans, and review data summaries for trends. Perform daily cycle counts and work safely at heights exceeding 60 feet in temperatures ranging from 95 to -20 degrees Fahrenheit.
Required Qualifications
- ability to constantly learn new skills for maintaining and repairing equipment in an ever-changing field of expertise
- ability to apply pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical principles to all equipment
- ability to read blueprints and schematics
- ability to work and function safely at heights in excess of 60 feet
- ability to work in temperatures ranging from 95 degrees to -20 degrees Fahrenheit
- ability to troubleshoot, replace, disassemble, repair, perform scheduled preventive and predictive maintenance, unplanned repairs, and overhaul all equipment associated with all 4 Greers
- ability to troubleshoot, replace, disassemble, repair, perform scheduled preventive and predictive maintenance, unplanned repairs, and overhaul all equipment associated with the K and L cranes
- ability to troubleshoot, replace, disassemble, repair, perform scheduled preventive and predictive maintenance, unplanned repairs, and overhaul all equipment associated with the various fillers we use in the production areas
- ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical malfunctions of motors and controls circuits up to PLCs
- ability to time various machine functions and assist with operational adjustments and change overs
- ability to troubleshoot, replace, disassemble, repair, perform scheduled preventive and predictive maintenance, unplanned repairs and overhaul all equipment associated with the Various product wrappers and Cartoners
- ability to troubleshoot, replace, disassemble, repair, perform scheduled preventive and predictive maintenance, unplanned repairs and overhaul all equipment associated with HTST-1,2&3 as well as the Homogenizers associated with each
- ability to troubleshoot, replace, disassemble, repair, perform scheduled preventive and predictive maintenance, unplanned repairs and overhaul all equipment associated with CIP1-6
- ability to coordinate with other department personnel, activities to improve procedures and resolve problems
- ability to assist scheduler with maintenance plans to meet operational commitments
- ability to review maintenance data collection summaries to determine trends and production effectiveness
- ability to be an active participant in learning continuous improvement basics and recommend improvements as identified
- ability to replace and set-up of Frequency Drives on all conveyors, pumps, and motor-driven equipment
- ability to trouble shoot and repair of Frequency Drives DC drives, single and 3-phase motors
- ability to perform Daily Cycle Counts as assigned
