Maintenance Team Lead

Job Summary
Lead the maintenance team to ensure timely resolution of all downtime calls and support daily operational goals. Provide direct leadership to technicians, ensuring downtime notes are completed and reported at Gemba while passing critical information to other shifts, maintenance leadership, and production engineers. Write One Point lessons with engineering assistance and train staff on identified skill gaps. Analyze downtime data to develop countermeasures preventing future issues and utilize Gemba whiteboard problem-solving to update training matrices. Enforce safety and process guidelines, including PPE, machine guarding, standardized work, and proper tool usage. Manage area costs through scrap reduction and equipment downtime minimization while maintaining 5S standards and visual controls. Develop team members using the training level system and matrix.
Required Qualifications
- Must have mechanical and electrical aptitude
- Knowledge of processes in required areas
- Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose a wide variety of machine malfunctions
- Must have good judgment, organization, and leadership abilities
- Must be able to understand and uphold the quality levels for each process in responsibility
- Must be able to work daily and weekly overtime requirements, more than 40 hours per week
- Less than 5% of domestic travel may be required as needed
- Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
- Possess ability to perform duties utilizing current company software applications
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills required
- Must be able to perform duties utilizing current company software applications
- Must be able to understand and uphold the quality levels for each process in responsibility
